About us


DRONI  is a non-governmental organization with the mission to promote the establishment of a modern, healthy, inclusive and educated society. In order to meet this task the association has been implementing the educational and youth development programs.

The organisation aims to support the young people’s physical, spiritual and educational development and to create educational initiatives developing young peoples competences in the field of civil society, conflict resolution, human rights and peace-building and to promote intercultural relations in Georgian society.

Youth Association Droni was established on the basis of the international organisation Academy for Educational Development in 2003 by the young people with 4-5 years working experience in NGO sector. DRONI is working mainly in education field on local and international level with different target groups (children, youth, students, teachers, refugees).

DRONI is mostly focusing its activities to the Caucasian region and cooperates with different NGOs in Europe.

The organization has been implementing activities on: Human Rights Education, Gender Issues, Conflict Prevention and Peace-building, Active Citizenship, Youth Participation.


Erasmus+ is a new educational programme of European Union for years 2014-2020. The main aim is to support mobility in all the spheres of education, professional development and sports in order to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work in European Union and Partner countries.

Erasmus+ provides opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. Three main Key Actions of the programme aim to improve the key competences, skills and employability of young people, promote young people’s social inclusion and well-being, and foster improvements in youth work and youth policy at local, national and international level.

In Erasmus+ young people and youth leaders get opportunity to participate short-term (Youth Exchanges & Training courses) and long-term (European Voluntary Service & Youth Worker’s Mobility) in countries of European Union and also Partner Countries.

The programme creates chances also for young people with fewer opportunities, facing economic, social or cultural obstacles, as well as people with different handicaps. By providing grants the youth organizations like DRONI and its partners it allows youngsters to travel, learn and meet their peers from other countries.

International Projects

DRONI offers the opportunity to young people, youth leaders and youth workers from Georgia to participate various international educational activities, within the framework of Youth in Action (2007-2013) and Erasmus+ programme, mainly in countries of European Union and Caucasus region.


Young people have a chance to participate international Youth Exchanges. For youth leaders and youth workers there are Training courses, Partnership Building Activities and Study Visits, all based on methods of non-formal education.

In 2013 DRONI sent more than 300 young people to 128 short-term educational activities.

. The programme covers the food and accomodation expanses during the activity, as well as major part of the travel costs (depending on the distance and fly ticket price).

European Voluntary Service

European Voluntary Service (EVS) is a learning opportunity for young people from 17 to 30 years to participate individual or group voluntary project in a foreign country. This project, managed by Sending organization (in your home country) and Hosting organization (in country of your EVS), gives volunteers a chance to work in a wide range of fields such as culture, youth, sports, children, cultural heritage, arts, animal welfare, environment and development cooperation.

EVS can be short-term (from 2 weeks to 2 months) or long-term (from 2 to 12 months) and it can be only done once in a life. At the end of the activity every volunteer receives a certificate confirming his/her participation and describing the project, providing also space for self-assesment of the learning process.

The volunteer receives free accommodation, food, insurance and pocket money as well a major part of his/her travel costs.
